Three regular members are being sought to lend their time and expertise to the Advisory Parking Committee (APC). The APC meets on a monthly basis, in the morning hours, at City Hall. The applicants must be a building owner within the parking assessment district, a representative of a small retail operation within the parking assessment district and one resident who does not qualify under the following categories: downtown commercial representative of large retail, small retail, and a professional firm, building owner, restaurant owner or downtown employee.
In addition, the Ad-Hoc Joint Senior Services Committee is seeking one resident member to be considered for service on its committee. The Ad-Hoc Joint Senior Services committee provides guidance and counsel on senior citizen living issues in the Birmingham area.
