The City Commission and Planning Board conducted one of their twice annual joint meetings on Thursday, October 17th at The Community House, the purpose of which was to discuss the recently-released first draft of The Birmingham Plan: A Citywide Master Plan for 2040.  Commissioners and Board members provided direction to the master plan team, noting various revision points and areas for further exploration as the consultants work on the second draft.  Additionally, the planning team will release a third and final public survey in November, by which planners will test targeted master plan topics that were brought up during the planning process.
